Hizon's Pastries at the Promenade

Yesterday, I had a craving for Hizon's mocha cake and yema balls. Robin was nice enough to get me some yemas and a slice of the cake and as a bonus, he took a bunch of mouthwatering photos of Hizon's other specialties as well.

The sweets and photos are from Hizon's, Promenade Greenhills branch. Robin told me a lady had asked him whether he was taking pictures for a magazine. He said, no, it was just a hobby.

Wait, does a blog count?

Anyway, later I asked him, does he think anybody would have asked him if he were taking pictures for a magazine if he did it with a little point and shoot camera? Like my Kodak LS633 digicam for example. "No" was the quick answer. Nothing like a big camera like the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 to make you look like a pro, huh?

Yema Balls
The yema balls are Php20 each while a slice of the mocha cake is Php60. The pictures were free, courtesy of Hizon's.

Beach Dogs

Meet Hugo and Jaja. They are permanent residents of the Anahaw Island View Resort, Balite, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

According to his owner, Hugo takes regular dips to cool off.
Was trying to catch him in the water, but by the time I got the
lens cap off and set the camera to Program mode, his was already out.

I was fast enough to catch Jaja taking her dip.

...

Hugo and Jaja seem to have realized they are being observed!
Decided it was time to end the photosession.
